Smile Makeover
Smile makeover is referred to as the beautification of appearance of teeth and smile in cosmetic dentistry, in which treatments such as laminate, composite bonding, implantation and tooth whitening are performed. Some of the elements that should be considered in smile makeover include shape and structure of the face, skin color, hair color, various dental features such as color, height, width, and shape, gum status, mouth length and lips status. Smile makeover is done for different reasons and varies from person to person.
Changing Smile and Teeth Features
First of all, you need to know which features you are not satisfied with and which features you like and need to be preserved. Some aspects of smile that a cosmetic dentist considers and is likely willing to change are:
Teeth Color:
First of all, silver filling or dental amalgam should be replaced with a tooth-colored material (composite). Although in the process of dental whitening or bleaching, teeth color whiten and their spots are removed, but the color of dental restorations does not change. Therefore, given the actual color of teeth, actual whitening should be done. If you want to whiten your teeth, do so before dental restorations such as lamination, filling, bonding, dental bridge, implant or dental crown, so that you could choose the color of dental restorations consistent with the new color of your teeth.
